Swim Your Way is an Erasmus Plus small collaborative partnership in the sport field.
It is a 2-year project (Jan. 2020 – Dec. 2021) and the partnership is composed of the Greek coordinator Swimming Club Asterias (Greece), Euphoria, Department of Physical Education and Sport Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece), National University of Physical Education and Sport (Romania) and Športno društvo Riba-SD Riba Swimming Club (Slovenia).
Swim Your Way aims to exchange good practices, ideas and methods in different areas relating to sport and physical activity and disability and to create a Guide on how to teach swimming to disabled students.
The guide is expected to be used by swim instructors, teachers, trainers and school units as a curriculum in order to teach swimming to disabled students.
Swim Your Way project addresses the needs of professionals of the sport, namely swim instructors, operators, teachers and trainers, to have a well-structured Guide to follow on how to teach swimming to disabled students according to their differing abilities.
The first transnational project meeting took place on 20-23 February 2020 in Athens.
